Our History 

2021

  • Coastal Cuisine Ltd established as a buy-out of the frozen foods and pre-pack businesses of Sam Cole Food Ltd, a well-established fourth generation fish merchant.
  • Sam Cole continues in the business as a consultant (until February 2023)
  • polystyrene, cardboard and shrink wrap compactors installed, switching the vast majority of waste to recycling instead of landfill

2022

  • the remaining wholesale fish and cash&carry business of Sam Cole Food Ltd was also acquired
  • the factory roof was covered in over one thousand solar panels, making us a net exporter of electricity and helping us to win the Net Zero Champions Award for Lowestoft & Waveney (Suffolk Chambers of Commerce)

2023

  • Sam Cole Food Service merged into the business
  • acquisition of all of the assets and goodwill of Seacream Ltd - a long established wholesale, pre-pack and fish smoking business.

Coastal Cuisine Ltd has grown dramatically in recent years and now has a distribution and storage capability to supply the whole of the East Anglian region. 

Collectively, we now boast 90 years’ experience in building trust with our suppliers and customers. You won’t find a more passionate company in East Anglia!

We care about our oceans and the future. Therefore, all of our suppliers are invested in the MSC. You can be sure that our products come from a sustainable source. The MSC have introduced measures that are designed to allow fish stocks to breed, ensuing there will be fish for years and years.
